Teen Texting On The Rise - Phone Calling Down

Teens are increasingly texting far more than making phone calls. It has become the dominant form of communication between teens to parents and friends. The largest increase has been the age group among 14-17 year old's. They sent an average of 100 texts per day. In 2009 that number was 60. This increase in texting has led to a decrease in using cellphones for phone calls. People are beginning to worry about the ability of teens to know how to make a proper phone call. These skills are important for finding jobs for the future and being able to communicate successfully.

  1. Last month I used an actual phone and it seemed like I forgot how to dial. Hitting the buttons felt wrong.
